Tou is an amalgamated version of the internal software tools that JGU uses to operate the University online, tweaked to be used at K-12 schools. Tou is a social venture by JGU, and is available to all schools, at no cost. We, at JGU, realized that when it comes to technology, ours – Schools’ and the University’s, needs are very similar. A school of 2000 students would have to pay north of Rs. 15 lakhs per annum to get a similar solution from the market, which we are providing at no cost to the school.
As the logo of O.P. Jindal Global University suggests, JGU is a Private University promoting Public Service. We, just like you, are an Educational Institution. When it comes to technology, our needs are very similar. We’ve built Tou with over 100+ years of combined experience in academic and enterprise software, and we want the entire community to benefit from our efforts.
We, at JGU, believe that the savings from using Tou over purchasing a similar solution may help serve the student community, academically and otherwise, in a larger context. Major Tou Modules Include:
School Data Management: Manage your school’s master data such as student records, student class enrolment mapping, teacher course mapping, academic calendar, among others on the cloud. You do not need to manage it on physical registers or different excel files.- Digital Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with your school community on the app and send automated notifications for new announcements. Tou promotes uniformity across the board by bringing all stakeholders on one platform.
Classroom Management: Easily manage all the data that your school generates on the cloud. Save attendance on one tap, conduct homework and submissions on the app, track student leaves online, and share the class schedules with online class links on the app.
Examinations and Result: Do away with physical report cards and manual calculations, and along with them calculation errors. Let Tou do the job for you. Automatically generate report cards for the entire school with just a click, and share the teacher’s feedback on the app.
Online Fees: Tou comes with an in-app integration with Paytm, and a comprehensive online fee management module with scholarship management, and other fee rules for different categories. The fees can be paid via Debit/Credit Cards, Net Banking, UPI, and Online Wallets, and will directly be transferred to the school’s account
Zoom Integration for Online Classes: Allow teachers to start Zoom Classes from the Tou App & Website. As soon as the teachers start the class, an automated notification is sent to the students with a button to join the class. No need to share the link via WhatsApp or Email, and no need to worry about misuse of links.
